Nominated in the Best Music Ad category at the UK Music Video Awards 2010 for their Calvin Harris Human Synthesizer and Kasabian Football Hero clips, Steve Milbourne and Phil Clandillon have delivered another gem in this highly creative commercial for Mark Ronson & The Business International’s Record Collection album.
Moving away clichéd album advertising, the 30 second commercial uses animated forms of guests who appear on the record – Boy George, Kyle Falconer, Q-Tip, Wiley and Simon Le Bon
“With this ad we’re trying to break away from the traditional ‘music’ TV ad and create some space” explains Milbourne.
“We’re also trying to touch on nostalgia for our core audience for this product which is female 20-35 and so we came up with this spot, which is already generating a lot of talk across social media”.
The stars of award-winning comedy The Inbetweeners graced Jacuzzi Studios with their presence recently for a School of Rock-themed photo-shoot. Following her eviction from the penultimate series of Big Brother, Beyonce lookalike Racheal white collaborated with Now Magazine to fulfil her obsession; of actually becoming her hero. Glamouring her up with endless rails of clothes and truckloads of jewellery she re-created some of Beyonces’ most iconic looks.

With the final series of the legacy that is Big Brother coming to a close, some of the programmes most scandalous females were locked up in Jacuzzi Studios. Dressed in PVC, netted tights and bikinis, the girls put on their best ‘bad girl’ poses for a photo-shoot inspired by the Lady Gaga and Beyonce ‘Telephone’ video.
The shoot went incredibly smoothly with all of the girls putting in lots of effort to look their wildest; I’m sure this won’t be the last we’ll see of them.

19 year old West Londoner Dotstar was in Jacuzzi Studios working on the promo for the uptempo She’s Killing Me. The studio soon became full of fast cars, PVC clad nurses, and fast-paced dancers. Directed by George Burt and with Co-direction from Naom Piper, the cleanly-shot fast-edited video compliments the minimalist throb of the track. To see the video click here.
Megaman (also known as Mega) of previous So Solid Crew fame was in the studio last week shooting his new video. Expensive cars and sexy woman flocked in to make a great looking video that will be hitting TV and the internet soon, so watch out.
